A Birthday, Halloween, and Family Fun

Oh October.  My favorite time of year, but also my most exhausting. :)  I taught Preschool, threw two different parties, Logan turned three, Ry finished up his Pediatrics rotation, and Mia had her very first Halloween!  Here comes a picture overload...

Logan got invited to another little boy's birthday at Kangaroo Zoo.  It is basically a giant gym filled with giant blow up toys.  Logan was in heaven. :)

I had Logan write Thank You cards to all his friends for the gifts they gave him at his party.  He drew his very first person!  I loved it so much, I claimed this card for myself, and made him draw another. :)

The Logan drew a raindrop, and loved it so much, he claimed it for himself.  We drew a lot of Thank You cards that afternoon....

Logan's Birthday Cake

Thank you Uncle Chad, Aunt Chelsey, and Mable for the awesome Camo sleeping bag!  Logan has been sleeping in it since he opened it. :)

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Enz for the fun animal magnets!   Logan loves making up stories with them.

This was taken right as he opened it... Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Poulsen, Kassi, Cammi, and Aydan for the way cool Lightning McQueen helmet and bell!

And "Squishies" of course!

Happy Birthday to my big 3 year old!  I can't believe it!

Boo at the Zoo

Mia wasn't impressed. :)
This kid loves his Doritos...
Little sick kiddos
They are pretty cute though!

Logan was very nervous about any sort of downhill at all.

Such a cute bike rider.
And pumpkin carver!

Mia liked playing with the goop

We never did get these lit....

Logan's Halloween Party at Preschool.  We forgot his costume, so he borrowed a skeleton costume from a friend.
Please forgive the nakedness.  It's just too cute.
This chunky little girl thinks her brother is hilarious

How many dimples can you count? ;)

Halloween Dinner.  A watermelon brain and a calzone snake.   Logan was so grossed out he refused to eat any of it.   Even though he helped me make it.

I asked Logan if he was my knight in shining armor.  He told me no.  Apparently, he is Lira's knight in shining armor.  I've already been replaced.

Mia trick or treating.  She wasn't a fan of her beautiful blonde wig.

I love these guys

On our walk tonight we stopped in a cute little field.
I love how Mia gets this look every time we place her in Logan's arms.  She has good reason to.  Right after this picture was taken, Logan dumped her onto the ground and took off.

More Fall Fun

This past week has been full of adventures!....

Last Thursday we went with some friends down to the Heber Valley Railroad to ride the Heber Creeper.  All the kids dressed up in their cute Halloween costumes.  The ride itself wasn't too impressive, but Logan loved being on a big train, picking out pumpkins, and eating pizza with his friends afterwards!

Because Logan's birthday is so close to Halloween, it gets kind of lost in all the crazy Halloween celebrations.  So, we decided to have his 'Superhero Party' with his friends this week.  We made capes and masks for all the kids to decorate, and set up an obstacle course and the good old jumpolene.  We also had lots of different foods that gave you different types of super powers when you ate them. :)  It seemed like all the kids had a good time, and I know that Logan did.

Can't believe our little hero is almost 3 years old!

Our little lady is quite the chunker!  We had to put away all her 3 month clothes today, and pull out the 6 month outfits.  She is such a sweetheart, and her new favorite thing is to chew on her hands and blankets.  She is also quite the talker, and loves to squeal!  We love this roly poly little girl!

October

My favorite time of the year is finally here!  Ry and I fell in love in October, and our little man was born in October.  The weather is perfect, the leaves are amazing here in Utah, and it's football season!  Even though BYU football is breaking our hearts... again.  Here are some of the things we have been up to...

Logan has officially stopped napping.  Sad day.  But, now I have a buddy to do chores with between the hours of 12 and 2.

My family came up for a weekend, and we went to Cornbelly's.  So much fun!

In the corn maze... here are all the boys around the smartphone figuring out how to get us out of Romney's head. :)

 Logan liked the corn

Mia is getting so big, and is learning to roll over!

Ry was working a 30 hour shift during conference... this is how I got Logan to sit still. :)

I love this picture, because I was actually trying to get a picture of Logan.. but my smiley baby photo bombed him.

I finally took the plunge and bought a BOB stroller.  One of the best decisions of my life.  I can now run whenever I want... and it glides like a dream... :)

We went for a long walk... in the rain

Cold Kids

On Saturday we went on a hike with some friends up to the peak of one of the smaller mountains behind the U.

A lot of the flat rocks had been made into furniture. :)
