June

Our big stander

Higgins beach

Our sand eater.  These diapers are fun, people.  Super fun.

Mia loves tide pools!

Meezy and her hermit crabs.

Oh, so sweet.  So sweet.

This man finished kindergarten!!  I officially have a first grader!  Ahhh!  These last few weeks I have felt like a real mom... dioramas, school plays, award ceremonies.  I'm a real mom!

These kids love their dad.

Mia and her "happy humans" that she loves to draw.  On everything.

Ry and I were getting ready to go to residency graduation when this kid came running in shouting, "I lost another tooth!!!"  And lose it he did... While jumping on the tramp, on an extra high jump, he managed to catch his tooth on the top of our trampoline net.  This pulled out the tooth and catapulted it to some yet to be discovered place in our yard.  6 teeth down.

Visiting dad for one of our cafeteria picnics. Grilled hot dogs, chips and cherries in a cooler.

For Father's day we went to Two Lights State Park and walked around.  It is always so beautiful there.

Logan's family portraits.  In every family portrait Logan does, Ryley is swinging his kids around.  I especially love Evy doing a balancing act on his head. :)

Logan

Logan.  This kid.  He found a rose in the backyard, rubbed it all over his face and body, AND his sister's face and body.  Will I survive this summer? ;)

Instead of a typical kindergarten graduation, Logan's class put on a production of the "3 piggy Opera."  Oh.my.cute.  Logan was given the part of the straw peddler, which had a solo!  He was so nervous, kept his little part by his bed, and practiced constantly.  He was so brave, and did amazing the night of the play!  I was so proud of my little man... the same little man that I used to have to pry off my leg, throw into his preschool, and run away before he could catch me.

This kiddo also finished up tball!  His coach called him "the homerun kid" as he gave him his trophy. Which is true.  He hit a homerun every single time he came up to bat.

10 months

Our Evalyn is 10 months old! And is the cutest 10 month old around.
She loves her daddy!  She is always saying, "Dadadadada"
She finally said "Mama"!  Woohoo!
She can stand up in the middle of the floor
She can also say, "Beach, baby, bubu, and all done"
Today I looked up and she was walking across the kitchen to me.  I'm not sure how this happened.  I'm pretty sure I got my other two kids' first steps on video, and Evy just walks up to me, like, "What?   Everyone else is doing it."  She then took a pretty hard fall onto her face.  :(
She is so naughty!!!!  Everything must be pulled out, taken apart, splashed in, etc....

Case in point
This butterball finally has teeth!  Two of them!!!!

A Moose in Maine

One day we headed up to Gray, Maine to check out the wildlife reserve there.  We finally got to meet a moose!  It was a really cute little place, with all of Maine's native (and some non native) animals.

Mia and the Moose

Mia got eaten by a bear!

All the friends

Evy the moose with a real moose

Summer is here!...mostly

Logan found a dead crab and carried it around with him for an hour.  Then Mia adopted it, fell in love, and we had to make it disappear before it ended up in the car with us.

This little one has never been afraid of getting dirty!

Ry convinced me to try windsurfing.... my victory was getting that super heavy sail out of the water!

I can't even. So adorable. Evy at 10 months.

She loves playing the piano!

Evy and her future best friend

Cutie pies hanging out in the tide pools

Logan's art show!

Mia's and mommy's daughter donut and ducks date. :)

The one thing that she has wanted more than anything in the world these past few weeks is a lily pad. A frog uses one has a handkerchief in one of her story books, and she really wanted to try it. :)

There is a super cool cemetery nearby with awesome trees, snapping turtles, spotted turtles, cranes, frogs, baby ducks, super cool tombs, and lots of cool walking paths.  It's one of our new favorite places.  The kids thought this tree looked like a giant's hand, so they spent forever pretending they had been captured.

Logan found a dragonfly, declared it his long lost best friend forever, and was devastated when we wouldn't let him bring in the car.

Mia needed a friend too, so found a caterpillar and loved him forever.

Ry installed a swing in our backyard with some extra rope and a board we found in our basement.  The kids love it.  But now we need 2 swings, because I have to set a timer every time the kids go outside so they have "equal turns."

This lady loves swinging too.  She screams at me when she gets taken out!

My wildflower bouquet Logan picked for me on my run one day.

A huge thunderstorm rolling in.

Logan and my slushi date.

Still trying to figure out how to get them to sleep in separate beds.

Camping in the White Mountains

We once again decided that sleep is overrated, so we trekked off to New Hampshire with our new 8 man tent in tow.  It went surprisingly well....well, it would have, if the mattress the girls and I were sleeping on wouldn't have deflated around 2am.  So, once again, everyone slept through the night except for me... I slept in a semi sitting position in a "nest" of deflated mattress with my two ladies on top of me.  Not that this surprised me at all.

Oh, I love them!

The covered bridge we discovered that had been turned into a super cute gift shop.

Playing in the lower falls of the swift river on the Kancamagus highway

My strong man braved the cold water and swam out to this rock.

My little photogenic beauty

Evy loved, loved the marshmallows!
