Easter

What a weekend this has been!  We have had lots of firsts... first pigtail, first tooth, first Easter, first death of a pet.... Lots of highs and lows, folks, and not just of the sugar variety.  Although there were lots of those too. :)

Mia has begun to master the art of facial expressions.  She tried a few out, decided the squishy nose was her favorite, and has pretty much stuck with that one ever since.

We L.O.V.E. the Museum of Natural History.  Cells, dead animals, dinosaur bones, rocks... it's a great place.

Logan loves this tarantula, and refers to him as "his spider."  He loves it when it eats crickets.  Ew.

Logan wanted me to take a picture of him in front of every dinosaur so he could see how big he was compared to each one.

Mia's favorite part... digging up bones.

This is the face she has decided to go with.  Unfortunately, this choice has solidified her nickname of "Smeezer"

She was eating the puffs on the ground with her face.  One stuck. :)

We have a pigtail!  I am so, so excited.  I have been waiting for this moment my entire life.  Isn't she the cutest?

 How I generally find them.

Naughty baby wants to play monopoly too!

This little lady sure loves her baths.  Just like her brother, I am always drenched by the time one is over with.

Chocolate ice cream. :)

More pigtails.  And more museum.

Logan loved that he fit into this giant footprint.

Sunny days!  Mia absolutely loves to swing.  Loves it so much, actually, that she screams bloody murder whenever I dare take her out of said swing.  Poor girl.

I have two kids that can swing!! I'm growing up.

 Cutest lady ever

And the most handsome man too.

Little beauty

We had sooo many Easter egg hunts this weekend!  Logan did great, and got lots of good candy for his mom. :)

Yep, these are our kids.  They are the greatest.

Another "Meezer" face.  I'm a little bit worried, because this is the only name Logan refers to her as now.  I can see them, 16 years down the road, with Logan still referring to his sister as Meezer.

I put on an egg hunt for my court... here is Mia, helping me set up.

How lucky am I to get to wake up next to this little beauty every day?

Emelia's first Easter!!!

Logan insisted on wearing his super-loge cape for pictures.

 :)

Egg coloring.  Logan was so worn out.. and Mia just wanted to eat the eggs.

The Easter Bunny came!

Easter Sunday

I am so incredibly grateful for my sweet family on this wonderful holiday.  I am even more grateful for my loving Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ, who have given me the opportunity to be with those that I love forever.

Happy Mia.. and a tooth!

And now for the sad part....
It was so incredibly heartbreaking to watch my little man suffer through the realization that his "favorite A. Boy" wasn't coming back.  It was pretty convenient to have it happen on Easter, though, right after our lesson on the resurrection.  Logan is still pretty sad, and went to bed sobbing, but is also very excited about getting a brand new A. Boy II tomorrow.

A. Boy Enz
7/6/2012-3/31/2013

A. Boy was a great fish... a loving fish even.  He lived a good life, full of little grabbing hands and tapping fingers. He was a patient fish, tirelessly fulfilling the monotonous days that come with being a little boy's pet fish.  A. Boy earned the nickname "worm", as he would often slither on his belly through the rocks on the bottom of his tank, most likely to distance himself from aforementioned grabbing hands.  He survived weeks without feedings, dirty tanks from forgotten cleanings, and several severe jolts as his tank was nearly pulled off its foundation with the tablecloth.  He was a loyal pet, and died as he had lived... attempting to fulfill his Logan's last wish- by taking a walk around the room with him.  A. Boy is survived by his family- Ryley, Mandi, Logan, & Emelia.  He will be forever loved and missed.  Rest in peace A. Boy.  We will never forget you.
