Football! And Baby Showers! And Kayaking!

Updates: I am almost 38 weeks pregnant! Crazy, I know. Logan kicks and squirms around like crazy, much to the delight of his father. ;) Our next appointment in tomorrow, and we get to find out if I am dilated at all. Not counting on it though. Ryley is still in classes, and attempting to get everything done that he possibly can before the big day arrives. I don't know where September went to, but somehow it was action packed. We went camping, kayaking, hiking, and just attended a BYU football game! It was Ryley's first, and he loved it. I kept getting in trouble for making him take pictures with me while the game was going on though. :) Coach from our research lab freaked out on me when he found out I didn't have my hospital bags packed yet, and promptly sent me home to do so after telling me several stories about women who had their babies in less than 15 minutes. So, I am now somewhat packed. We only live 8 blocks from the hospital though, so I think we'll be ok if I forget something. :) Everyone keeps telling us how close we are, but I don't think that it has really hit either of us yet. I still don't feel all that pregnant. I'm not swollen anywhere, I don't have backaches or side aches or even painful contractions. I also still usually get 8 hours of sleep at night. I'm not complaining, but it would be nice for my body to show some sign that the date is approaching.... Last Saturday my old roomates threw me a baby shower. It was so nice, and it was a lot of fun getting to talk to them again. Logan recieved lots of cute things, from diapers to pacifiers, to slippers and outfits and towels. What a spoiled little baby already. We played baby games, and taste tested some nasty baby food. Mandy Merriman had it about right when she named them all "filth". So, that's been our past few weeks, and I'll post a picture when I remember to take one. :)

Sunburnt, tired, and sooo happy after watching
BYU stomp on Colorado State. :)

I'm posting this because Ryley refused to
smile normally and I threatened that I would
post it for the world to see. :)

Us, after Kayaking. :)

Waterfalls and Kitchens

Okay, time for some more updates. This past week has been exciting, what with Ryley starting school again. I have been bored out of my mind, and convinced Ry to help me paint the kitchen and mud room. Saturday night was AMAZING. Ryley and I made blackberry cobbler, and our neighbors let us watch BYU's path to victory over last year's national title winner, Oklahoma, on their big screen tv. Go Cougars! :) I know that it's going to be a BYU game that puts me into labor. Logan is growing nice and big, as you will see from the pictures below. Today Ry and I went on a hike to cascade falls. It was so much fun! Ryley was very worried about me going into labor though, and kept asking how many contractions I was having. I've always thought that it would be funny to go into labor on labor day, but no luck. Probably a good thing though, since I'm only 35 weeks. Starting next week, I have an appointment every week until the little man decides to make his appearance. We had our first childbirth class on Friday night, and it was great. The lady that is teaching it is very nice, and she had a lot of good information. We have lots of homework to do before our next class, so that will help to keep me occupied. Friday night we also went to the Latino Festival, and ate tacos and a "european pastry" that Ryley made fun of. Saturday we also discovered this amazing little farmer's market, with great deals on produce. Yeah for us! :)
