AOA Induction

I'll get yelled at for posting this, but, I just have to brag a bit. :)  My smarty pants of a husband was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society a few nights ago!  Only a few members of his class made it in.  My humble man couldn't believe that he got in.  It didn't surprise me at all.  I am so proud of him!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring has finally sprung, and we are oh, so happy!

After Match day we took a quick trip down to Ely to celebrate!

Grandma with her 3 sweet grandkids!

We got back just in time for our fire station tour

My little firefighters :)

All our med school buddies.  We are going to miss everyone so much when we all move away for residency!

What happens when Mia is bugging Logan.  Look closely at her mouth.

My cute preschool class and their silhouettes we did in class.

Our class had a 'talent show' and for Logan's talent he wrote his name...

and shot Syndrome super powers (from the Incredibles) to the song Radioactive.  What a kid.

They are getting braver on the carousel… although Mia is still not 100% sure about it.

Temple Square is absolutely beautiful right now!

I sure will miss this place during our east coast adventure

I've gotten use to walking these grounds...

Silly little face

And we went to Ely again!  Here are Mia and Kenlee getting into mischief!

Match Day

The day that we have been anxiously anticipating for the past four years has come and gone.  Match Day.  This was the day where we would learn where Ry would be doing his Residency in Emergency Medicine.  4 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school, years of 100+ hour weeks, 2 major board exams, several rotations away from home and family, 15 interviews spread across the country, countless hours of filling out applications, and hundreds of thousands of dollars later and we finally had the result, delivered in a crisp white envelope.  I am so incredibly, inexpressibly proud of my amazing husband.  He has worked so, so hard to get to this point, and has managed to be wonderful father and husband the whole while.  I have been so blessed to have Ry in my life, and we are so excited to start our next adventure as a family in……
PORTLAND, MAINE!!!!!

Video to come soon...

Logan opened up the envelope for us.

Ryley matched to his top choice!  We are so excited/terrified to move our little family across the country.  We have been so blessed, and can't wait to spend our next 3 years by the ocean.

Here are some pictures of the day:

Of course, the kids' favorite part was the brunch that was provided.

Right after finding out where we were going!

The kids during our Match Day dinner.  We put on 'Frozen' to keep them entertained. :)

St Patrick's Day

My kids love St. Patrick's Day.  Like, more than Christmas, love.  Every year I get asked, "how many more days until the leprechaun comes?"

These little cutie pies worked and worked on their trap….

Success!  Although that tricky leprechaun escaped again, he left his loot as a consolation prize.

They were both so excited!  Logan is already planning his trap for next year.  Lessons learned from this year:  peanut butter and honey are no longer allowed to be a part of the trap.  :)

End of Winter Fun

The end of winter couldn't come fast enough for me, but we were still able to squeeze in some snowy fun before that happened!

One reason for my wishing the snow away…cabin fever. :)

Logan began his snowboarding lessons with his best buddy Devon.

He proved to be a natural!  We couldn't believe his natural skill… the only time he fell down was when his daddy stepped on his board. ;)

Mia was a good sport in the freezing weather.  Soon she will be on her own board, right next to her crazy brother!

Look at that form!

Yes, he is styling my pink goggles.

Mia and I snuck into the ski lodge for snacks and hot chocolate, where we happily watched Logan and Ry from our warm chairs.
