Sunny Days...

chasing the clouds away....

Such a brave little bike rider.... someday he will tackle those scary hills!  For now he prefers riding on the basketball court. :)

Mia likes to chill in her convertible.

Logan looking for bugs.  :)

How Mia sleeps now

Cutest little crawly bug around.  She figured out how to climb up on to our mattress (Ry and I are currently sleeping in the living room since Mia refuses to sleep with us in the same room as her right now) and then up onto the couch.  She also has started letting go of things while she is standing... I'm thinking we are going to have ourselves a walker soon!!

Logan will now only take baths if they are colored.  He is such a little scientist... one of his favorite things in the world is to line up a bunch of cups, put drops of food coloring in them, and slowly mix them up with each other and different types of soap with a medicine dropper.  He loves his "potions".
Also, the other day I overheard him ask Ryley, "Daddy, what is bigger, streptococcus mutans or candida albicans?"  Obviously this little man was paying attention when we read his library book about cavities!

Love this lady.  For the first few days she hated the feel of grass on her skin and crawled around like a gorilla, but she doesn't seem to mind it anymore!

:)

Her brother has passed on his love of sticks to Mia.

Mother's Day.  I am the luckiest lady alive!  I was spoiled rotten by my sweet husband and these beautiful children.

Mia loves cantaloupe.

And strawberries.  Her Dad thinks this looks like she is eating a cat heart.  Not sure how he knows what a cat heart looks like. :)

Bath time with pigtails!!!

Logan likes to draw on our window with his window crayons.  Then he lays his head against the window and rubs it back and forth as he longingly gazes outside at the playground.  This is why he always has a blue forehead.

These two love each other.  They are always making each other giggle, and love playing chase, lions, and silly faces together.  :)

It was beautiful the other day, so we took a walk up to the zoo.  Here is Logan the gorilla.

He really loved these little lego turtles.

Logan and Mia both loved the giant lego polar bear.  The lego sculptures were amazing!

Some more lego sculptures.

Logan saw someone with one of these on our way into the zoo, and reminded me of this fact about every other second.  So, at the end of our day we bought one of these monster sno cones.  Both kids loved it!  Silly little things.  Logan thought that the sno cone ladies were magic because they were able to turn the ice so many different colors!

Cutest pigtails I have ever seen!  She is such a funny girl.  I was sick a few days ago, and she climbed across the room, up onto the mattress, up onto the couch, and gave me lots of kisses on my cheek and then snuggled with me.  Such a little sweetie!

FAMILY PICTURES:
One of my college roommates offered to do our family pictures.  She did such an amazing job!  My children were pretty naughty, and Mia's poor allergies were really bugging her, and Natalie still managed to catch some great shots.  Thanks so much Natalie!

April

Life has been crazy lately...

I now have a 10 month old that thinks she is two.  Mia wants to be just like her big brother, and gets very upset when I make her act like a 10 month old. :)  I also have a three year old who thinks that he is 14.  So that's fun.  :)  Here's what April consisted of...

Lots and lots of baths.  Sunny weather means dirty, sand covered kids.  Just the way I like them. :)

Chasing Mia around and re-babyproofing the house.

Cleaning floors.  I do a lot of that nowadays.  :)

Trips to the aquarium.  Mia loves the fishes!  And Logan loves the sharks and electric eels.

The electric eel

Logan and a dinosaur shark.

Love them

:)

Trips to the planetarium.. with daddy!!! This is especially impressive seeing as how he is on his surgery rotation right now.

Mia in the clouds.

My little martians

We go on lots of walks

Family came to visit!
Logan's Uncle Aydan is his favorite person in the whole world.  We just got back from Ely, and Logan tells me daily of "his plan" to run away, back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  My door is now always chained. :)

Mia likes to feed herself.  Actually, she likes to do everything herself.  :)

Ry turned 28 this month!  What an old man. ;)

Cutest daddy ever.

Our niece, Makenlee Ann Carter, was born! She is such a cutie!  I actually haven't had a chance to hold her yet, but I did sit by her for a couple hours in the NICU at Primary Children's the night she was born.  Luckily, now she is a happy, healthy baby!

Mia discovered she loves peas

Like, she REALLY loves peas.  :)

We also walked up the This is the Place for baby animal days.  Logan loved petting all the animals.  He actually held a whole bunch of baby chicks and ducks too... but I was too scared to let go of him to take a picture of it. :)

Milking the cow

Petting the lamb

Mia watching the baby chicks

He really liked the lambs!

Trying to feed sheep hay.

Logan loved the baby goat.  I sat Mia down and she was just fine until she saw what was next to her.  Then she screamed and crawled quickly away. :)

She liked this lamb until it moved.

:)
