Family Vacation 2014 Part 2: Disneyland

DISNEYLAND!!!

Our first day in Disneyland….

Super excited about the happiest place on earth

Getting ready for Star Tours...

He kept saying, "Mom!  We aren't supposed to put on our glasses yet!  The lady said so!  We are going to get in trouble!"

Iron Man exhibit

What Mia thought about the whole thing...

One of the storm troopers gave Logan a high five.  Best. day. ever.

We managed to plan our California trip right in the middle of a heat wave.  We thought that 105 degree weather warranted a few Dole Whips.  Yumm!

Winnie the Pooh ride

Mia loved this ride!

My little princess

To escape the heat, we went and had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Enz!

Mia was, obviously, quite pleased with the whole experience.

Walking back to the hotel

To finish off the day, Ry and I got a mini-date!  Ry's parent's hotel had a hot tub on the roof, overlooking LA.  So, we took advantage of it. :)

Family Vacation 2014 Part One: LA

Our two little frequent fliers.  They were so excited to fly in an airplane!  Logan had flown several times before, but didn't remember any of them.  By the end of our trip, though, they were both pros!…even though Logan hated going through security. :)

Handsome men, ready for take off!

Logan playing with his superheroes during our flight

And Mia loving her Mickey Mouse figurines

We landed early, and had to wait for another plane to leave our gate.  These two passed the time by watching planes land and take off.

When we landed in LA Ry took off to get our rental car, which was about 2 miles away.  I somehow, by the grace of God, managed to get 2 kids, a stroller, 3 backpacks, 3 suitcases, and 2 large carseats from baggages claim and out onto the sidewalk to be loaded into our rental. Impressed?  I was.

Manhattan Beach

Logan loved finding little sand crabs

Mia and her cute dad dug big holes and then tried to trap those little crabs in the holes when the tide filled them up.

Mia found seaweed!

:)

The scene for most of our beach trip… Logan ecstatic with sand and crabs and Mia warily watching the waves.

Little Sand Man

They both decided they wanted to be buried in the sand...

On the pier.  Our little clan in the Pacific Ocean… within the month we will be in the Atlantic!

Oh My Mia

Mia is turning out to be quite the little handful.  We love her with all our hearts, but we might not have any hair by the time she is grown….

What happens when Mia wants cereal...

What happens when Mia doesn't want a nap.  This was taken by carefully squeezing my arm through the blocked door.  It was the only way I could see her to make sure she was breathing. :)

Mia loves, love, loves her picture taken.  And she has quite the little cheese.

What happens when Mia doesn't want to go to bed.  A whole package of tissue is stuffed down that naughty little shirt.

What happens when Mia paints...

Mia practicing her "two."  It is fitting, since she already acts like a naughty little two year old!

Parting Adventures in Utah

Our last month in Utah!  After living here for eight years, earning 3 degrees, and having 2 children, I can  hardly believe that we are actually leaving this state!  Here are some of the things we have been doing to soak up as much Utah as we can…..

My sister and her cute family came to SLC for a vacation and met up with us at the zoo.  That cute little Kenlee is so sweet!

The new aquarium opened!  It is really neat…the kids loved it...

Especially Mia

Being brave with daddy on the rope bridge.  It's been so wonderful to have him home with us these past couple months!

Exploring the caves.

Ry and I ran the 4th Street 5k….I am proud to say that we were the first couple pushing a stroller to finish. ;)  Also, a cop told Ryley that he must not love me very much because he let me wear my BYU hat in the heart of the U.  The cop then followed us around to make sure I didn't get beat up.  Can't scare away our Cougar pride! ;)

Lions finally came to our zoo!  They are so fun, and so loud!

Logan was pretty impressed with all the bones in the dirt next to the lion exhibit.

Little sweeties.
