Three Weeks Old!

Our little man is growing up so fast! He's only 3 weeks old and we have already had to change the car seat to a larger setting and buy larger diapers... maybe I'm feeding him too much? :)

Two Weeks Old!

Logan is officially two weeks today! I knew that he had gotten bigger, and at his appointment today we found out that he has in fact grown an inch and gained 12 oz! Our little guy is now 21 inches long and 8lbs 2oz. The doctor called him tall and lean. :) Everyone also kept commenting on how alert and bright eyed he is...wondering how that fact will affect our future and my sanity... Ry's parents came this weekend to meet the little guy, and we had fun spending time with them, Ashlee, Kayla, and Aaron. We ate an amazing Harvest Dinner together, and discovered that Logan loves crowds, as he always seems to be the most sweet tempered baby when people are around. This week we also took Logan for his first stroller walk (which he absolutely loved), and gave him his first bath, which he wasn't too sure about, as you will see in the videos below. :) The last picture is what happens when Logan is in a semi-conscious state..I need to remember to have the camera nearby more often when he's in la la land so I can capture more silly grins... The other day during tummy time Logan was lifting his head up like a champ, and pretending to crawl so I decided to turn our camera on. As soon as I pushed record, he promptly turned into a little slug, but I posted the video anyway. Naughty kid. I'll try again later. After such an exciting weekend and the traumatic doctor's visit today, I have decided that we are just going to lay in bed and snuggle tomorrow. :) More pics will come soon....

Halloween and the past couple of days... Logan was the cutest little glow worm in the whole world! Ryley was a bug catcher and I was a butterfly, but we kind of forgot to take pictures of ourselves due to the cuteness of our little worm. :) He even got candy at the ward's trunk or treat last night. :) We've had to go back to the doctor's twice to check on bilirubin levels, but they have been nice and low every time, so hopefully we don't have to go back for that. The little man did fail his hearing test the first time, so we have to go back on Thursday to check on that. Can't believe he's almost a week old already! Logan had his first adventure in the sunshine with his daddy because it was so nice outside yesterday. He really seemed to enjoy it. He likes to stay awake for 2 hour long spurts during the day now, and entertains us with his facial expressions. We also recently discovered the binky, which makes for a much happier little boy. Life is great, even with the loss of sleep. We love our little guy so much, and love to just watch him. I'm recovering well, and Ryley interviews at the U of U tomorrow, so start praying! :)

38.5 Weeks

So, it seems that fall has finally decided to arrive...Yeah! Ry and I went for a nice long fall walk today after listening to General Conference, and we collected a whole bunch of leaves and berries for me to construct into something. Conference was amazing and uplifting, as usual. We got to spend some time with Kayla, Aaron, and Ashlee this weekend, and played a way fun game called Imagine If... On Friday I had to go to a luncheon with the people who donated the money for the ORCA grant I recieved. It was way fancy... too many plates, forks, and cups for me. Good food though. Cancer research is going well, and we think that we almost have Ryley's ORCA project finished up. Statistically significant data too! Yeah again! Mine is still having issues with stubborn antibodies. Oh well... We also got to see Natalie on Friday, my long time friend from preschool. It was a lot of fun catching up with her. Our last childbirth class also occured on Friday (very busy day), and now we are just playing the waiting game with Logan. As of last Tuesday I was one centimeter dilated, and my next appointment is on Thursday. I had some pretty good sized, but non painful, contractions, every six minutes, for about 3 hours today. But then they went away, and we are now breathing easier. :) Ryley told Logan that he's not allowed to come until his Biochemistry test is over with on Friday. We'll see how well this little boy listens. :) That's about all the updates for now, I'll post more after our next appointment.
