Two weeks old...

I can NOT believe that our little cutie pie is two weeks old already!!  She is a little chunky thing... at her appointment on Thursday she weighed in at 8lbs 9oz.  Which isn't too surprising, since all she does is eat. :)  Emelia really is a good baby.  Unlike her big brother, she only cries when she is hungry or has a gas bubble.  She loves to snuggle, and be talked/ sang too.

So, we got a new camera because ours died... Logan has figured out how to use this camera.  He is always setting up things and taking pictures of them.. I especially liked his portrait of this pistachio.  :)

Emelia's first bath!  Literally... her first bath ever.  They didn't give her one in the hospital for some weird reason.

We were brave/foolish, and allowed Logan to be in the tub while giving Emelia her bath....

Here is a comparison of Emelia and Logan during their first baths... besides the fact that Emelia is a lot chunkier, you can definitely tell they are related!

Logan yells, "Don't take a picture of me!" and dives behind something every time I pull out the camera, which is why he seems to be missing....   Eventually I will get some good big brother/little sister shots. :)

Wednesday night during the fireworks I started having some contractions.... about 3am they picked up to the point where I couldn't sleep.  At 7 we decided that it was probably the real deal, since they were about 6-7 minutes apart, so we called my family, and they jumped in the car and headed over.  About 10:30 the contractions were 5 minutes apart when I was sitting, and about 3 minutes apart when I stood up, so we decided to head to the hospital.  Luckily Kayla and Aaron were still in town, and were able to jump over and watch Logan until my family got into town.  (Thanks guys!)  When we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 3.5, and they told me to walk around for two hours.  After about an hour and a half of horribleness, I couldn't take it any more and made Ry go get the nurse.  She checked me, and I was at a 5-6!  And so done with the pain.  Around 3pm I received my epidural, and was stuck at an "almost 10" for about 2 hours.  At 5:50 I started pushing, and at 6:03, out came our beautiful little girl. :)

The Big Brother!!

Apparently we make children who don't like to sleep... once again, everyone was commenting on our "bright eyed" newborn. :)

Logan is absolutely in love with his little sister.  He is so good with her, and is always saying "Oh, she's so cute!"  After holding her for the first time at the hospital, she became his baby, and he got very upset when anyone else would hold her.  He is always kissing her, and is her protector. :)

While at the hospital, my parents took care of Logan.  Logan was thrilled that he got to hang out with his aunts and uncle.  They managed to wear each other out. :)

Ever since Logan found out we were expecting Emelia, he has told us that she would bring him a fish when she came...
So, when we brought Emelia home, we also welcomed Hulk/Kassi/Boy the fish. (Logan hasn't decided on a name yet, so he rotates between them.)
