First, a silly little face
Pirate ship playground at Winslow Park for the annual resident lobster bake!
Check out all that lobster. The one with the tinfoil and seaweed on top was also full of lobster.
Ry was in heaven
So was Mia... she likes to hug them. I was grateful they had burgers. Ry is grateful I think lobsters are gross... it means he gets mine. :) But really, lobsters are the bugs of the ocean. You have to crack their shell with tools and wipe their poop off the meat before you eat it. And sometimes their eggs. Icky.
Beach at low tide... and a Mia tushie.
He told me, "One smile, mom, and then I'm not smiling anymore for pictures."
Fun park next to the ocean
Ry had to work on Saturday, so we went raspberry picking! It reminded me of all the summers we would visit Grandma & Grandpa Poulsen's house, and Danny and I would try to beat each other out the door to eat all of the raspberries. The dog in the corner is Arrow. He belongs to the owners of Dole Orchards, but follows us around whenever we come here. Logan and Mia love him, and I like the company. :)
Rows and rows of raspberries.
There were tons of other yummy things in season, but Logan and Mia both requested to pick the plums. We were all surprised to find these yellow plums!
We experienced another "Maine first"... whoopie pies! They are a pretty big thing here... two big cookies with some type of frosting in the middle. You can find them everywhere.. there are trucks that drive around and sell them. They even have whoopie pie festivals. This one was pumpkin with cream cheese filling. It will definitely not be our last whoopie pie....
