For our marathon vacation this summer, we headed up north to Acadia with Leon and Kathy, then hopped up to Lubec to see the iconic West Quoddy Head Light, and then drove over the bridge to Canada. We all got another stamp in our passports, and learned more about the Franklin D. Roosevelt family then I will ever need to know.
Acadia was beautiful, as always, and Kathy and Leon rented the cutest little house for us to stay in. Logan and I got to enjoy it more than everyone else since he ended up with the stomach flu. Luckily it was just a 24 hour thing! Then Mia had some random massive finger infection/swollen lymph node fiasco. And Evy got another tooth! But really, what is vacation without puke, an ED visit, and sleepless nights? :) All kidding aside, it really was a wonderful two weeks, we got to see a lot of beautiful country, and I checked off lots of bucket list items!
Mia and Ryley finally found wild Maine blueberries!
Beautiful sand beach
We were the last ones on the beach at Echo Lake, and Kathy and Mia both found sunglasses people had left behind. Score!
West Quoddy Head Light!
The Eastern most point in the continental United States
Evy swinging in Canada
On the way home we stopped at this super fun Blueberry land, and bought a delicious blueberry pie.
