Yogurt, Cheese, and Fingerpaint

Well, school is in full swing for Ry now (we're halfway through phase 1!), and he is doing great!  He's been doing really well on all of his exams, and Logie and I actually get to see him a lot more than we thought we would.  That might not last... but we are enjoying every minute while it does!  Of course, nowadays when we see him, we get to be his patients so he can practice all of his exams!  Lately:  Logie and I go to the zoo.  A lot.  We go to the library a lot too, because Logan loves to read! It's about the only time I can get his little body to sit still.  Grandma and Grandpa Enz came to visit during conference, and Logan was thrilled!  He loves being the center of attention, and happily performed all weekend. :) Yesterday we went to this really neat place called Wheeler Farm, where Logie was able to see and pet horses, goats, chickens, turkeys, bunnies, cows... he absolutely loves animals!  Going to the farm was also a milestone for me, because it is the farthest I have driven in Salt Lake City by myself.  Although I got lost at least 6 times, and had a breakdown where Logie and I cried in some random parking lot, we made it!  Today I was able to drive to Smith's for the first time.  Look out world! :) Anyways, back to the little man...who is such a little man!  He loves dirt and bugs and cars.   Logan has discovered "cheese"  and is a little copycat.  He also loves gogurts and anything resembling a fort.  His favorite thing in the whole world is being chased, and he loves to hide under our table, desk, his crib....Silly man.  Not too long ago I read online about edible finger paint... just add food coloring to vanilla pudding...so we tried it the other day.  Logan was very skeptical.  He couldn't figure out why I was letting him play with bright colored goop and I was letting him eat it. He only took one lick, the silly boy. I've kept busy with crafting projects and MSA activities.  We are actually having a Halloween Party at our house for Logie's 1st birthday party.  I cannot believe that my little boy is almost 1 year old!  Time is flying by!

Such a big guy

At the park on a rainy day

He likes to sit in his toy box while he plays.

We went down to BYU during Homecoming, and Logan got to
watch his very first parade, with his little buddy Anne.

They gave out balloons at the parade (best idea ever) and Logie and Anne loved them!

Logan loves Spaghetti. :)

I get this lovely look whenever I'm doing something he's not incredibly happy about...

Oh Spaghettios. :)

10 months old and a new haircut

Quick update:
Logan now loves to clap at everything.
He also really really loves the new balloon his daddy bought him. (Which is covered in Marvel Heroes)
In the past week he has discovered chocolate and cheese.
Our boy now has a handsome new haircut.

This past week was just another week of surviving... but we are slowly finding a rhythm.  We went to an MSA dinner on Thursday, and had a great time on Saturday with our friends Zach, Ilene, and Anne when we went down to Provo for a BBQ and the BYU game!  It was nice to be around others who bleed blue. :)  Coming up this week Ryley has school, school, and more school.  Logie and I have a play group, the House of Delegates, and a neighborhood BBQ.  For some reason I can't get any pictures to upload tonight, so I will post his handsome haircut picture later.  Here are a few videos of our cute little man.

Med school

Time for an update:

Medical School has officially started, and we are all slowly settling into our schedules. School kicked off with the White Coat Ceremony, where Ryley was given his first white coat, a stethoscope, and recited the Hippocratic Oath with the rest of his class. It was really neat being there with him, and my family was able to make it out for the ceremony. I am so proud of my amazing husband and all that he has accomplished so far! To me the White Coat Ceremony was kind of like a graduation from all of the pre-med stuff... prerequisites, the MCAT, applications, interviews and the like. Currently Ryley is buried in his anatomy book, as he starts dissecting his cadaver tomorrow. Before school hit we were lucky enough to fly out to Oregon for a week to spend time with family and friends. Logan was able to meet his Great Grandpa Enz, and we were able to go to Chad and Chelsey's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony at ski bowl on Mt. Hood. Chelsey is such a sweet aunt... she bought Logan and Zoa the cutest outfits for the wedding! The reception was so much fun because I got to dance the night away with my two handsome boys. Right after we got back to Utah my family came to visit! We had so much fun with them! Now that all family is gone, and Ry is off to school, Logie and I are attempting to adjust to our quiet house. To cope we sing to the radio, watch movies, go to the park and the zoo, and cook a lot. I'm joining the MSA, which is a club for spouses of medical students. They have lots of activities-book club, cooking club, play groups, service activities, and more. Being a stay at home mom is actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I know that this is where I am supposed to be, and I absolutely love watching my little man grow up. Speaking of which, Logan now walks everywhere with a minimal amount of falling episodes, and can stand up without holding onto anything! He's getting to be such a big boy! He definitely misses his daddy during the day, and I get to hear about it whenever I'm doing something he doesn't like (changing his diaper for example). He yells.."Nananana. Dadadada!" Silly little man.

So handsome...
I know this picture is a little blurry, but at least you can see the way cute matching outfits Chad and Chelsey got for Logan and Zoa.

Yep, we still love each other a whole heck of a lot.

I love this picture. Logan thinks he's so funny when he's not doing what I want him to do...in this case, sitting still for the camera. And Zoa is being sweet, of course.

Logan loves the water, and actually moves his little arms and legs like he is swimming...

9 months old

Our Little Man is now 9 months old! He is growing up so fast, and is now constantly getting into things! Now that he is a crawler and a walker, he can go wherever he wants..which is usually exactly were we don't want him to go! This past month has been a blast, full of family get togethers and relaxation. My way sweet neighbor lady is also letting me borrow her cricut machine. I am now obsessed and have been cutting out random shapes for days now. I have also ordered vinyl so I can stick the random shapes I cut out onto my walls. :) Ry and I are soaking up each others company as much as we can before medical school begins in about 2 weeks. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to...

Today on our hike some lady made a comment about my cute little girl... so we decided it was about time for a haircut.

Before Picture (Notice the four front teeth coming in? Yeah, that made last weekend fun)

After picture...he knows how handsome he is! :)

This was one of the many activities that Logan took part in on our hike

Such a big boy!

Our date to temple square. It's so beautiful there!

You have no idea how much grief I get for wearing this hat around here...

Oh my Logie

His hair in the back makes him kind of look like a little peacock, don't you think?

Brown Family Reunion 2010. Logan was a monster with a fever due to teething. It was so much fun to see everyone though!
Pictures of our house that I promised Cammi like 2 weeks ago. Sorry Cam.. here they are now! We've decorated a little more since these were taken, but you get the general idea from them...
